God creates and calls us; Jesus reconciles and redeems us; the Spirit energizes and empowers us for worship, love, and service! In response to God’s love and forgiveness, we pledge to inspire each other through prayer, study, and stewardship; to cultivate an open, caring Church, where diverse gifts are discovered, respected, and employed. We also pledge to minister faithfully to the poor, lonely, sick, and those in need; to reach out, sharing our faith, inviting, and welcoming others into our fellowship; and to seek justice and healing in the Church, community, and through out the world.
The reason for our Mission statement:
- The mission statement enables us as a Church to pull together all of its understandings about the dynamics of Church life.
- The mission statement helps us fully define our task.
- The mission statement helps us to understand our unique work by particularizing our mission.
- The mission statement gives Church leaders definite criteria by which to judge both short-term and long-term plans.
